A lot of Fantasy and GoT/Song of Ice and Fire sites do not permit death without the consent of the other player. In my opinion that is rather ludicrous. In the series people die and they die quite often. George RR Martin does not provide any plot armors so why should we. What makes the series so exciting in playing the Game of Thrones without getting your head chopped off. However, I do understand that people put a lot of time and work into their characters and thus Destiny Points where introduced. Destiny points are considered divine intervention, a stroke of good luck, or a coincidental arrangement of circumstances. Each person who registers(Not characters) gets 3 destiny points. They can place them all on one character or divide them between multiple characters. Destiny points will be VERY rarely attainable so use them wisely. Destiny points can do the following;

1. In combat it can be used to void a single attack that would otherwise kill or fatally injure your character.

2. Can remove any status effects or hinderances for a single thread. This simulates the character having a burst of adrenaline or high resolve.

3. Can give a x2 buff effect to a single ability score for one post.

4. Guaranteed successful strike on an NPC (Cannot use on PC's).

5. Recover from injuries in half the time(this does not include crippling injuries).

6. All normal strikes for one post are considered critical doubling in damage.

7. Use a single skill that your character would not normally have such as your Maester using a Rangers tracking ability.

8. Turn the tide in a losing battle giving all of your troops +2 to attack or defense.

Destiny points must be mentioned in a spoinler at the bottom of the topic. Only one destiny point may be used per week. Any destiny point abuse will result in a deducton of that point and loss of privelages on the site. You are responsible for keeping track of your own DP. Yet staff will monitor so do not abuse it.
